Ask HN: Is PayPal SMS Down in the US?

I'm completely locked out of PayPal due to SMS 2FA being down.

Can't contact support because its phone support is closed and web support requires logging in.

The only option is to reset your password in an endless loop, not prove who you are and disable 2FA.

Seems like a Catch-22 of poor planning and poor execution. Am I wrong?

Oh and web support is basically unreachable too.
