Ask HN: What is your expected work throughput when working from home?

Hi,

I'm a software developer for a highly profitable, but rather unknown company and I've been trying to understand how feasible my employer's expectations are. I mean, you can't really work 100% from home when both parents are in software industry and you have kids running around. Also, what if you can't work from home and have to come to work to accomplish your job? (non-essential workers, but lockdown still permits it)

* Do employers still expect you to accomplish all goals and deadlines?

* Were you hurt in any way financially? Do you need to report the time you work?

* Were you told what happens if you don't meet deadlines? Is there any consideration from the employers side? Do they accept less features/testing in order to meet deadlines?

BTW, it'd be great if you state where you work at if you can - I assume it's different for FAANG than startups...

Thanks!
