Ask HN: What Is the Status of the USA Contact Tracing App?

I was wondering if anybody knew anything about the US plans for contact tracing. Every article says that it will be required in conjunction with testing to get things back to semi-normal

What agency is developing it? Is there a contractor, and if so who? Are they looking for volunteers and how does one apply? When do they expect to be rolling it out?

Does anyone know any information about it? Thanks!
