Ask PG: How can I get my ip unblocked from HN?

Hello, trying this again:

On Sunday, I submitted this: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=2296003

At the time, I thought maybe I had a bug in my program that caused ~50 almost instantaneous hits - but I'm not 100% sure that's the case. Regardless, I was constantly refreshing my HN page to test this extension and Sunday evening I finally started getting empty content returns from HN. I thought maybe it would go away after a small wait period, but here it is Tuesday, and I'm still not able to access the site from my normal IP.

Please advise on how I can get the address unblocked and if you have a daily hit maximum that triggered this so I can be cautious of it in the future.

I'm not trying to do anything malicious and am being very conscious of not putting in features that would cause too much additional hits to HN.

The feature I'm immediately trying to implement is the ability to get the users snapshot info when clicking on their username from the stories lists without having to navigate away from the page. I think that my jquery event fired on page load for every single profile on the page instead of just when the user clicked on the username.
