Thank You HN – Commandeer Version 1.0 Launched Today

I have been reading HackerNews for many years now. I personally do not post very often, but seeing the trends and hearing what pains people in software development has resonated with me tremendously. So basically I am first-time, long-time as they say in the radio industry. Over the past 4 years I have been working heavily with serverless and container systems, and have built 3 serverless systems on a global scale. The technologies are tremendous, but the observability for developers is quite lacking. I had the idea of building a desktop app to manage all cloud services 2 years ago. And because we bootstrapped this, we decided to release it in beta, which we did on June 28th, 2019. In an ideal world, I would have just been in the lab working through it until it was perfect, but because we really needed to prove that this was a pain point for others, and because I personally don't have deep pockets, we decided to launch it in beta so that we can get feedback, and use usage data to drive our feature development. For instance, during that time, we saw that S3, Dynamo DB, LocalStack, Lambda, and Docker were our most popular services. While we did not get a ton of direct feedback from the HN community, we did get some good interesting tidbits, we did see a good amount of our traffic to the website coming through here.

You are the tastemakers of technology, so feedback from you is priceless. As a thank you, I want to offer 50% off the tool for the first 3 months using the coupon code HACKER_NEWS_50. Many of you will not know what the tool is, so here is our newest commercial explaining it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kNebYCE-9s&feature=youtu.be

Launching today is a huuuuuuuuge milestone and frankly, a great relief.

Thank you HN, your discussions on modern technology continue to be one of the single best resources for understanding what drives us all as developers.
