Ask HN: Looking for a particular data science textbook

3 points by yaheard ↗ HN
Several years back, I stumbled on a data science textbook that I believe was written by a non-programmer. It was a pretty thorough "for dummies" introduction to using Python to understand data analysis, but there were some notable features:

+ The text was big -- it was not a dense book. + The topics covered were not extremely comprehensive -- it was not an O'Reilly book. + It featured a huge number of stock photos, including people -- notably of every race, gender and identity. For a book written by a nerd for sort-of-nerds, this really stood out to me.

I can't find it in my old emails, messages or bookmarks. If any one has any leads, please let me know!
