Ask HN: Where would the original bitcoin discussion take place in 2020?

While reading the original email thread in which Satoshi introduced Bitcoin [1], I was struck by how few people responded, and how long it took them to respond. It was 2008, and the conversation took place on an email thread. Were this conversation to occur today, where would it take place? The same email list? A subreddit? HN itself?
