Ask HN: What mistakes you wish you avoided with your vlog/video course?

I am thinking about starting a youtube channel for aspiring tech leads - just because I believe it's an interesting medium, often unappreciated in the tech community, but also because I would like to practice my public speaking skills and share my thoughts with a greater audience.

That said, I am a perfectionist and although I can control it and will not go overboard, still I would like to start with decent quality videos from the beginning.

Do you have a vlog or a video course? Is there anything you learned after a while you wish you knew when you first started?
