Ask HN: Is there a collaborative alternative to Docusaurus?

I've been put in charge of developing a course for next semester and I've been looking into using Docusaurus for writing the content and publishing it.

One thing that I see happening is having a lot of questions from students come up about the content. It would be great if I could have the students sign up on my site and be able to add comments to the content just like collaborating in google docs.

The alternative now is to use a system like D2L which we have and have their questions and comments in a separate part of the site under "Discussions" in a sort of forum.

Are there any tools which you guys know of that could help? I don't really know where else to ask.
