I had trouble getting through the snark to figure out what this article was saying about the title.

I don't know of any party with a platform that says anything about what a judge should do in the situation described.

The separation of powers in the constitution leave the prosecution of crimes to the executive branch, not the judicial branch, it is not a judges place to decide who should or should not be prosecuted when there are no charges to be prosecuted. End of story.
Is that a legal argument?

Did the judge do something illegal?
