Ask HN: How does Deno compare vs Urbit?
May sound like a bit of a click bait, but couldn't think of any other way to put it.
I think philosophically they are facing the same direction: making a secure, self-contained programming environment while getting rid of unnecessary bloat. Also I can see how a lot of Deno's design can evolve to make it a decentralized development ecosystem. While I will never touch Urbit's esoteric brainfuck language, I like the approach Deno is taking, which will help with getting adoption.
What do you think? Just trying to wrap my head around this and looking for insights.
