Ask HN: Javascript Framework for Basic Game
I am planning to write a simulation/strategy game. Ultimately I'd like to have Facebook, iOS, and Android versions, but am initially starting with iOS. After some consideration, I've come to the conclusion that trying to learn Objective C and Cocoa Touch would not be worth my time. Instead, I'd like to use PhoneGap or something similar.
It seems like some sort of "single page" javascript framework would be ideal for this. My controls would mostly be sliders, text inputs, and buttons. I was hoping I could get some recommendations on what might be easiest to pick up and learn. I have all the preliminary game design work done, graphics mostly done, formulas written, etc. I just need to code everything.
I've looked into Cappuccino and, while very impressive, it seems like overkill for what I need.
I use MVC for most of my web projects, so something following that pattern would be ideal.
