Ask HN: Is there a verb for breaking up or stitching back together services?

So I kind of asked this as a comment previously and got no responses. I know this exists in the data world such as normalizing, or sharding, depending on the specific action you're attempting.

Would you just say coupling or decoupling services? To me this seems to broad and applies more to the OO design patterns, but I'm probably just over thinking it.
