Ask HN: Are there “Laptops” that just take HDMI and USB input?

So I was wondering if there are any types of laptop style docks.

Where you can have a desktop in another room but use it with a 10 metre hdmi cable and usb cable for keyboard and trackpad?

The use case seems a bit niche so I was wondering if anyone has seen any products that do this or have tried them

I think you want a "KVM"

A chrome book with nx-windows could do the trick.
