A bit pedantic, no surprise there of course. It remains the case that you can't taste-and-adjust which makes baking a lot more difficult for people who work that way in the kitchen.
But, I will agree that people often don't think about the nuts and bolts of what is happening when they cook/bake, which leads to all sorts of magical thinking.
