Certainly, when people are seen as a form of capital.
Oh for God's sake.

Capitalism is aracial, it's amoral.

Amoral? That’s an interesting take.
The Betteridge law of headlines applies here. Capitalism is simply people exchanging things of value in a free market, and while in pursuit of that value finding better and more efficient ways to deliver value than your competitors.
What isn't considered racist these days? That will be a shorter list.
I read the article and it makes... zero points towards this conclusion to anyone with a IQ over 95.

Capitalism is an idea.

What the article is saying is people exploit others, especially the vulnerable. After a years of slavery, surely the enslaved will be vulnerable. So that vulnerability transmits between generations until they finally get their freedom and then... get jailed for doing the same drugs their white friends do.

Then they get killed while being arrested.

Capitalism isn't racist.

People are racist.

But there is hope. If you read "Coming Apart" by Murray, it shows that white people will soon be subject to the same exploitation as black people.

So the answer the question the article poses is: no. And you're going to find that out very, very soon.

A better question are humans racist? Is society racist? Is tribalism a human core value?

Capitalism is a system that rewards things and punishes others but not based on race.

Capitalism rewards existing capital. Slavery meant owning no property. So a group of people started behind another. Immigrants have come in with less and done so much better over the same period. Perhaps the immigrants who came in were more educated or were a more self-selected of determined individuals who were more willing to take riskes.
