Me to Police Unions: Maybe try stopping yourself and/or your colleagues from behaving like animals and thugs for a few months, and do things to earn some respect?

Since you started using expletives: Looking at statistics this applies to the Black community more than anything.
How is the Black community in any way earning respect? All I see is entitlement, aggressiveness, threats and demanding hand-outs for merely existing.
Non-thugs cannot be police officers, because they would wet their pants in police situations. Non-thugs are not going to protect you from thugs!
Only thugs want a career in the police force. Usually thugs who have a moralistic control freak mentality.
What the police have to do to recognize this and "own the thugness" in a responsible way. To say, "I became a cop because, let's face it, I'm a thug. I must strive not to make that a problem for regular people who haven't done anything wrong, just for the Bad Guys."
Maybe before starting work, they should have Japanese-style group session whereby they repeat various specific commitments, as those are called out by the group leader.

Not everyone had their video turned off, O’Meara. Maybe you've heard of evidence at some time?
