This guys need 1600 pre-sales to make this happen? (their unit price of the smallest product divided into the fundraising minimum goal)
Even if they get an array of donations/sales for their smallest to biggest versions, that's a lofty goal to set as the minimum requirement to produce these things for the public.
I call that this is truly a niche product and the fundraiser won't hit $48k...

1) We wanted to keep the price / trebuchet low, so our margin after materials is slim.
and
2) The laser cutter that we need to produce these is expensive.
But such is life!
