OP here: Not meaning to be inflammatory by this post, but I can't help thinking part of the blame for this should be on Robinhood.

This makes no sense. The person was 20 years old meaning he was an adult. It is his fault for not researching before investing. It’s his fault he was in such a financial hole. It is his fault he decided to take the desperate action of killing himself. This is what the Darwin awards are for.
