Misleading and clickbaitish titles, both the OP and Forbes. It is not Google Photos which is cancelled, it is the 'Photo Printing Service' used by Google Photos. This is a better source that gets to the point [0].

Even saying the 'Photo Printing Service's is ending is misleading because you will still be able to have your photos professionally printed from Google Photos. They are just ending a limited trial automatic photo selection and printing function.
