Ask HN: Scammed by a YC Startup?

I might have been scammed by a YC Startup, will give more information if more time passes as I'm still (maybe naively) giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Worked with them for a short time, got fired without proper warning (can get into why later), no email or call. Now they seem to have disappeared and don't reply to my emails. As a remote worker from a foreign country, is there anything I can do? Or have I just been scammed?
