It's interesting that he suggests to use open vote and to allow trading votes. On one hand this is against all we know about voting and selling votes or even taking a selfie with bulletin is considered illegal.
But on the other hand maybe it is an artifact of the old voting system, where we are voting for people instead of about issues, and each election is a slow and rare procedure. This makes vote almost useless for a voter, and very precious for the politician, which makes it hard for a voter to get a fair deal.
But if there are many votes, and it is possible to easily start a new vote, it almost becomes a replacement for UBI.
Would be interesting to see an analysis on how stable such a system can be and how exactly the vote should be organized to reach consensus on controversial issues.
