Mozilla had getfirefox.com but not firefox.com.

Dropbox had getdropbox.com but not dropbox.com.

Songbird still only has getsongbird.com

I don't think this will be too big of a problem for them. Getyolk.com is shorter than all of those.

It's a sarcastic comment about color paying $350k to get color.com
Not that Yolk is showing up high in search results or anything, but Basecamp, Campfire, Highrise, Dropbox, etc., all have (or didn't have) premium domains and are doing fine.

didn't dropbox have 'getdropbox.com' initially?
I am one of those not buying the "big idea" of Color (of course I can be mistaken). But I think that the fact that something like it already existed does not mean much. Search existed already when Google was born, for example.

What matters usually is execution and timing (and a little luck), and Color might have them, even though execution for now has not been that great. But with all the money they got they can fix it.

EDIT: spelling.

I don't get it, why this is on HN? If it's to show that there's no innovation in what color wants to do, it's pointless. It's not like only the idea mattered, and execution was not important...
It's a link to an app in the app store. It's an advert.

Hardly a contributing member of the HN community. I say flag it.

Flagged accordingly, upvoted for sparing me the sleuthing.

I've gotten gun-shy about explaining my flags (even though I consider it polite to do so) because I keep getting downvoted for it. Which is baffling, since the spammers shouldn't have enough karma to do so, which means he either has friends in low places or this community REALLY wants to EXECUTE and SHIP so much that they cheer on non-contributing spammers with retaliatory downvotes.

Who knows. Doesn't matter, but it's annoying.
