Could documentation be better for devs who speak English as a foreign language?

I work at a mid-to-large-size tech company as a technical writer. For a while I have been wondering whether we could be doing more to help software developers who speak English as a second language -- but as I am a monolingual English speaker, I have minimal first-hand experience with this problem domain.

I'd love to hear from developers who speak English as a second language about their frustrations with software documentation. Do you have a harder time consuming documentation? If so, how? What about when you're writing docs? Are there any tooling solutions you use (or that you wish existed)?
