The Reddit app is an absolute monstrosity and its design apparently driven by the same dark patterns that have befallen the original website. Do yourself a favor and use any of the third-party apps or even old.reddit.com on your favorite mobile browser
One could probably poison the cookie jar by having a revolving list of nonsense copied to the clipboard that is disabled for a time when the user purposely copies something to it.
