I had to resubmit this because an almost identical submission was flagged for having a 'misleading' title, when the quote is LITERALLY FROM THE MAN who quit.

Tell us why you are so passionately disturbed about a four year old article about an organization which eschews formal organization and 99.9% of HN could not name who their “leaders” are?

And why is this relevant in 2020?

I'm not sure why this is dead. The article has a rather objective tone and the piece is markedly unbiased (surprising given the title of the site). I didn't know there was previously controversy over whether charter schools perpetuate racial inequality, and now I do. Interesting read.

I would recommend adding a [2016] to the title as is customary when posting old links.
