Ask HN: Active public repos like Gitlab on GitHub

I'm currently looking for very active public repos on GitHub that is as active as GitLab in terms of commit frequency and number of contributors. I've yet to find another public repository that I can index that is as active as GitLab, when it comes to these two criteria.

As the screenshot above shows, GitLab currently has 370 very active contributors. The closes publicly available repo that I've found so far, that is quite active is elasticsearch, but when it comes to very active contributors, it has 5 times less.

I'm looking to get more data points on code reviews at the scale of GitLab and I was wondering if there were other public repos on GitHub that I could index. Note, I can't use GitLab, because my solution currently does not support indexing merge requests, which is why I am looking for similar repos on GitHub.
