Ask HN: Why don't YouTube watch the audio level on Ads

So when watching LoFi, builds, ASMR, time-lapses and so on I find the ads to be so incredibly loud that they can ruin so much of the experience. I do understand that they need to run ads but can't they at least sort of match the audio level to what your watching.

Personally I feel like person watching a calm video being interrupted by very loud video-game music or random very loud ad for anything will really want to by it or even have a positive association to the brand or product.

I know that it's similar on TV (or used to be) but why import the bad things into a new format. And ads on YouTube are a lot more unpredictable and can really bring you out of the experience.

So what am I missing, why isn't this a feature?
