Are you a tech startup enthusiast? We'd like your help.
We're a small blog run by a few guys who love reading and writing about tech startups. Right now we're focusing on the SoCal tech scene, but we want to expand our reach to other, non-silicon valley, tech scenes. If you live in NYC, Chicago, Miami, Boston, Seattle, Austin, Boulder or any number of other tech startup communities and are passionate about covering this subject, sign up!
You can do so here: http://thestartupcafe.com/write-for-the-startup-cafe/
Thanks! We can't wait to work with you.

[ 4.7 ms ] story [ 54.2 ms ] threadI'm not looking to advance my writing career, but I am competing in Baltimore's "Startup Weekend" event next week, and I'd love to share my experiences from that, as someone who's never attended anything like it.
I'm anticipating an article titled somethingn like "How we cheated at StartupWeekend (and still lost)" or something like that.
I will bookmark this.
Heh, it amazes me how many people haven't heard about the NC technology community, considering the history of RTP (the largest research park in the US)[1] and "The Triangle"[2] in general.
I guess we need to do more to promote the local scene. But FWIW, there's a big list of Triangle area startups here:

I've changed the submission page so that anybody can submit a post to be featured on The Startup Cafe. I want The Cafe to be a place for all tech entrepreneurs to share their stories, experiences and knowledge with the rest of the community.
