I really struggle to not be an Electron hater, but... why, oh why??? Basilisk II is already a thoroughly cross-platform piece of software that runs beautifully as a native Windows/Mac/Linux app. What can possibly be the appeal to re-compile Basilisk into Javascript, so that it runs at less than half the speed, packaged in a full Chromium/Node installation?

The total download size of the native Basilisk II is about 8 MB (not counting your disk image). The size of this Electron monstrosity is about 180 MB! I feel like I should be wearing a straitjacket. Does no one else see things going terribly wrong?
