Ask HN: Is Quantic (E)MBA worth it?

I have been wanting for years to get an MBA or Executive MBA but the time constraints and money have been holding me back form doing it. I'm a mid-career executive and the lack of "business experience" has definitely hurt my advancement (cost me a CTO job... I was demoted to a VP of a company I helped found) and I'm hoping an MBA would help.

Quantic at < $10k for the EMBA seems like a good deal but it's not from a recognized university. My wife thinks I'd be no better off than if I got an MBA at a local (translation: "real") university.

Has any one tried it? Do you learn as much as a traditional program? Does it carry any weight at all in industry?
