Ask HN: Install/open two instances of the same program/app? 2 whatsapps on Mac?

Anyone knows how to open/install two instances of the same app/program on a mac? I want to open two whatsapps and use both with different numbers because I have two phones. I checked various solutions including installing the app twice under a different name, and opening the app via terminal from a different user on my mac but both didnt work.
