Where to Start? (UI/UX)

A friend of mine and I are starting a new project. We have some prospective clients/users as some high touch beta testers before we launch publicly. We don’t want to put something totally unpolished in front of them - but neither of us are designers or experts in UI/UX. Are there any services or resources y’all would recommend?
