He is going to end up like Nicolae Ceaușescu.
Not a chance. While the "revolution" in Romania 31 years ago started as spontaneous protests was quickly hijacked by an organised clique so it became a coup in a matter of days. The book "Coup d'Etat" [1] lists this "revolution" as a coup in one Appendix. If you ask people in the know in Romania, they'll all agree, they'll even tell you who the key people were.

This thing in Belarus here is no coup, it has no chance to succeed.

Never heard of the Arab Spring?
Just FYI, you caused me to spend about 45 mins learning about the Ceausescus, so thanks.
My favorite is the story of Ceausescu Macy's visit, he believed it was all staged to impress him :-) Later commissioned actually staged department store in Romania to show visitors, afair didnt work all that well with everything selling out in single day.
Well, I think he could to get away with 80% after some protests.

But random beating old people, women, kids and ramming random car with 9yo kids in it with an armoured vehicle helped to unite people against him. He is his own worst enemy.
