Ask HN: How has money changed you?

I'm currently middle class, and I'm in a situation where there's a good chance I will acquire quite a bit of money in a couple years. I've heard before that money changes people, and I'm guessing I won't be an exception.

How has money changed you? Do you feel it was a positive change, or negative? Any idea how someone can prepare for the change?

Positive. I had money in the past that I put toward illegally helping aliens fight the feds. Then was broke for a lot of years. Now I have some money again. I eat healthier, can help those down on luck, much less stress (car woes, etc), have money growing in markets. I am not wealthy by any means, just comfortable in my little world.
