Ask HN: Any (Email) Marketing Resources?

Hey all, I've been getting into modernizing a chunk of our company's email marketing program. Nothing crazy - testing, event-based emails, metrics, segmentation, that sort of thing.

I know the sorts of sites I'd trust for software development related-things, but I'm lost when it comes to marketing. The best I've got is googling like "email marketing best practices", which gives something, but it all looks a bit spammy. Neil Patel is everywhere - his advice looks okay.

Anyone have anything a bit better, or are those fine? Maybe a good search term?
