Ask HN: How do you keep mindful with YouTube?
I'm trying to figure out how to keep mindful in how I spend my time and I can't figure out how to deal with Youtube. With many potential distractions, it's very easy to just block them completely, e.g. getting rid of Instagram/Facebook. But I can't easily block Youtube, because it's often a great educational resource for many things. Unlike many other social media, it can actually be useful and beneficial. That said, I find it really hard to keep mindful when watching it and to not fall into 1 hour of watching random stuff after spending 10 minutes on watching the thing I want to watch. What's your way of dealing with this?
