I find the title of this post doesn't match the post content.

The title reads like Upwork has a plan to suspend users that live in Eastern Europe at some point in the future. But the post itself is just about Upwork's lack of transparency about suspending one user.

Seems like only one account was suspended?

Also avoid upwork...

Maybe there is a suspicion of money laundering? In that case they are phorbidden from informing the user of that.
Years ago an Upwork freelance agency outright blackmailed/attempted to extort me on the platform, messages sent via the messaging system, and Upwork took no action against them.
I wonder if there is a geopolitical angle considering all the shit going on in Minsk now. With that said I think it's disgusting for a company like upwork to terminate a user without reason.

Like imagine if you showed up to work one day and without reason you were fired, no warning, nothing, and no recourse on top of that. This isn't suspending a Twitter or Google account, that's bad enough, but this is something that earns people their living.

Isn’t that “wake up one morning...” ephemeral nature of jobs how most Americans experience work? Do people think “at will” means anyone cares?
