fun fact, the first thing google employees removed from webkit was all the ways to disable sending the referrer. after they removed the option from the settings page, someone added to the hidden settings. after they removed from there someone added --no-referrer, but obviously they removed it too. the command line switch made it back a couple more times because some build server needed it for a few tests to pass, but that didn't last long.

give to google what's google's. and by what I mean those sweet ad dollars that increase with attribution, which at the time relied on the referrer header.
