Ask HN: Is it a good idea to use a .software domain?

I am starting a business and would like to have the word 'software' in the name. It will be an intentional pun, so that the name sticks easier with clients and potential clients who hear it. I've discussed this with a psychologist already, research suggests that it works. Just think of all the abbreviated unix tools that are puns and how you never forget what they stand for.

My concern is getting put into the spam folder for emails when I send letters from .software domains (not going to host my own mail server). Does this happen, even, when you run your mail via google or the registrar?
