When pg was soliciting ideas to improve HN, I toyed with the idea of suggesting that HN auto-censor and lock out for 5 minutes any comment containing "fanboy" or the infinitely more irritating "fanboi" in its text. I don't know if I've ever gotten anything out of reading a comment containing those words.
