Not unexpected, but sad. They've rallied the internet to cheer for them, and then sold to the highest bidder. After that billion dollar investment, MS is now holding OpenAI where it hurts. Is that just the nature of startups that try to do too much, too soon? Does this deal seem more of a sellout than it really is? Was the goal always to make a huge pile of cash and not actually figure out software that was going to save the world? It's hard to say. I've just got more questions than answers.
