Ask HN: How do you get your hobby code reviewed?

2 points by Karunamon ↗ HN
I'm the only person in my circle of friends that does any kind of coding for fun. I would absolutely love if there was some way I could have people look over a couple of my projects and suggest any room for improvement.

Problem is, this is purely "for fun" stuff, i.e. non-commercial side projects that will never be monetized, so shelling out money for a professional to spend their limited (and expensive) time on something like this doesn't make much sense. This requirement eliminates all services I'm aware of.

I can't be the only one in this boat. What do you folks do when you want a second opinion on your code?

You're not alone! I'd be interested in joining a non-commercial code review community as well.
