[ 2.7 ms ] story [ 32.7 ms ] thread
If you were worried that this week would go by without you getting your 2 minutes of hate fix, rest assured the good folks at NYT and HN have your best interest at heart.
Are you implying that this story is manufactured outrage? Because to me, this seems like much realer journalism than most of what the media puts out.
The fact this is on front page of HN tells you the incredible hypocritical political bias that is allowed to exist here. Another example of rules not evenly applied. The HN community is rediculous and my post will never be read because of highly bias moderation.
He reported paying taxes, in turn, on a number of his overseas ventures. In 2017, the president’s $750 contribution to the operations of the U.S. government was dwarfed by the $15,598 he or his companies paid in Panama, the $145,400 in India and the $156,824 in the Philippines.

America first.

Apples to oranges in that comparison. His U.S. companies also pay their own federal and state/city taxes.

I forgot we were demanding to see these. I'll read the comments to see how outraged I should be.
For reference, I just looked it up and I, a graduate student who makes like $30k a year paid three times that amount last year.
