Generally speaking what makes the average website uncomfortable for you?

Personally I'm put off by the feeling that almost every website is trying, rightfully so, to monetize me.

Causality1
The ever-increasing ratio of bullshit to content in the data and visual footprint of the average web page. The amount of information per page I want hasn't increased since 2002 but the average page size has exploded.

The way half the authors I read use whatever topic they're discussing to push a political or social narrative. Nothing makes me doubt my opinions more than having them served to me apropos of nothing.
