Feature request: Ability to turn off voting when submitting a comment

Sometimes I'd like to submit a comment that might be unpopular. While I'm not overly concerned about my (minuscule) Karma score, I do cringe on the rare occasion I receive negative votes.

I'd like the ability to turn off voting when submitting a comment. To balance, perhaps a user could optionally filter non-votable comments.

I've got a better idea. Why don't you submit some links, gain some more karma, and then you won't care so much if a few of your comments get downvoted?

As long as you submit relevant links, the worst that can happen is that no-one votes them up.
