Ask HN: What is HN for finance or crypto?

There aren’t too many places like HN out there. With that said, I hope you’ll find what you’re looking for.

Please let me know if you find out. Finance is pretty secretive and doesnt have the open culture tech has had for so long.

One site that comes to mind is https://poetsandquants.com/ but it is career-focused mostly.

Another that used to be popular was is zH but the signal-noice ratio is terrible and it is too political.

There is a lot of finance talent here on HN, you should discuss and be pleasantly surprised.

A HN for crypto would be a good idea. Unlike finance which can be a zero sum game certain knowledge confers advantage so should not be shared, a culture of openness ultimately benefits asset (price) discovery and so is beneficial to everyone in the community (except of course the pump-and-dumpers)

It's about time someone consolidated and centralized (ironical, I know !) the knowledge in the industry.

I've been looking for something like this and unfortunately have found nothing quite like HN.

There's /biz/ which has some decent discussions from time to time, but being 4chan is also filled with trolls, shilling, and misinformation.

Seems like it's a good opportunity for someone inclined to create such a community.
