Do we need recruiters anymore?
Just do a few google searches about bad recruiters. It seems like recruiters or "talent acquisition professionals" as they call themselves now still continue to this day to have a terrible reputation.
It seems like there are more bad recruiters than good ones. Therefore, the question has to be asked do we need recruiters anymore?
It seems like technology or robots or AI can eventually replace a human recruiter.

[ 3.7 ms ] story [ 17.0 ms ] threadAnd btw, I don't think ai can be as good as human people at seeing potential, past the basic CV and/or cover letter.
And bias, gender bias, age bias or racial bias. There's a lot of bias in ai, and whenever somebody complaints then somebody else tries to mathwash it.
Let's just not, please.
He eventually talked to a recruiter and told that recruiter about his situation and shyly asked whether he had anything for a developer of his skills. The recruiter reassured him, told him he'd find something for him and sent him home. The next day, he called my friend and asked him when he had time for an interview as he had two companies that were interested to meet him. They agreed and about a week later, he had signed a new contract and quit his old job, with a pay raise and a much nicer team.
My friend never wrote about it online. I'm pretty sure there's plenty of similar stories, but you won't hear about them, you'll only hear about the negative ones.
