He has got to have a iron clad contract that allows him to be paid out even if Spotify terminated him. This screams of “tenured” status.
I believe he's already wealthy.

It could also be like that one comedian...

"I had the right to remain silent... I just didn't have the ability" :)

I think for every thing Joe Rogan says I agree with, he says something else I think is totally stupid, but at the end of the day, he's a superhero of public discourse to me because he's willing to be the one leading the charge and throwing out unpopular opinions and to take the flack that comes with it, and signal to all the less bold people out there who agree that it's ok to hold and voice unpopular opinions.

Go Joe.

I think it's pretty clear that Spotify employees protesting Joe Rogan over trans issues is just typical, bourgeousie tartuffery.

They're making more than most people on the planet, profiting egregiously off of artists. Notice how they don't loudly protest that, or say, renounce their jobs/focus on something less evil.

They just make a stink about someone talking freely, which happens to offend their bourgeousie, liberal sensibilities.

It's incredibly self-centered and authoritarian.

Tech company employees whining about the actions of their company, no matter the aisle side, should be fired. Plain and simple.

You’re at work to work. So get to it. Stop being children and coming home at the end of the day talking about how unfair it is that your Algebra teacher barely works but expects you to do 2 hours of homework.

Amazon employees protesting their own warehouse working conditions? Fine. That’s your option in America to try to get better working conditions. But complaining that AWS is bidding on military contracts? Grow up.

If I was CEO of any of these companies, I’d make it simple. You can either (a) quit, or submit a form checking off categories of business you have snowflake issues with and we will happily deduct an equal percentage of those categories of our profits from your paycheck by an equal percentage.

But anyone who goes public to complain about our categories of business? Fired for cause.

These lepers are easily replaceable, Spotify. Do with them what Reagan did to the air traffic controllers.
