Ask HN: how long did it take you to write your website copy?

It looks like a forever undertaking. Well, in a sense it is an ongoing incremental thing. So I should revise the question: How long did it take for you to get to the state where you can show people? I initially outsourced copywriting of my site http://www.appsketcher.com . It didn't work out and I have to craft it myself. It's a painfully slow process so I want to learn how others do it.
